“Eastern District Sports Association” is a group by coaches and youths, it was established in April 1997 as a Non-Profit Organization. It has been 15 years up to now, service different types of sports and games to the young children and teens which in eastern district. In 2004, they established Board of Directors and invited different sector leaders to take the post of the executive and consultants, they will take advantage of the promotion and improve development of sports; attain a specialization, a local and universal image.
Meanwhile, they provide many kinds of activities and training for teenagers encourage them to attend community business and events; plan, carry out and conduct the different recreation activities, increase their sense for the area.
“Eastern District Sports Association” has had support by Eastern District Council since 2002 and has an opportunity to join “Group C (Regional) Soccer league tournament” by Hong Kong Football Association. The association emphasis on discipline and sports spirit in the past soccer plans all the time; pick out some potential teens to attend different ranks of youth tournament, help them to draw the top gradation competition’s experience and increase the satisfaction for the goal. Also, held different sports promotions to cause sports become universalized. As of 2003 National Day “National Day invitational tournament” at Siu Sai Wan stadium, we invited the soccer teams in the area, HVAAFC and Official Chelsea FC Club participate in an exhibition game together. And then, the 55th Anniversary National Day in 2004 “Flag Raising Ceremony and Perform” arranged diverse events; such as Hong Kong Artists Football Team in counter with Council Football Team, Tai-Chi performance, Chinese Martial Arts performances, etc.
